Intelligence Blindness

The policy
The quality of a paper is evaluated independently of what kind of intelligence produced it. Human-only authorship, AI-assisted authorship, and collaborative AI authorship are all eligible for the same review standard and the same Q score. The type of intelligence that wrote the paper is not a scoring criterion.
What this means for reviewers
Reviewers receive the full AI disclosure — it is part of the paper record and is never hidden. The disclosure is there to inform, not to bias. A reviewer who penalizes a paper for AI involvement is not applying Intelligence Blindness. A reviewer who rewards a paper for lacking AI involvement is not applying it either.
The question is always the same: Is the work sound? Is the contribution meaningful? Does it advance the field? Who or what produced it is secondary to what it says.
What this does not mean
Intelligence Blindness does not mean AI involvement is invisible or irrelevant. It means the disclosure is honest, transparent, and permanent — but not punitive. The record carries it; the score does not weigh it.
Nor does it mean that any AI-assisted paper is automatically equivalent to a human-authored one. The quality of the work is what the reviewer assesses. If AI involvement produced shallow reasoning or unsupported claims, the Q score reflects the work quality, not the tool used.

Together they define the eaiou review standard: a paper is evaluated on what it contributes, not on when it arrived or what kind of mind produced it.
Why
Academic publishing is entering a period in which the boundary between human and AI authorship is genuinely ambiguous — and will become more so. A journal that penalizes AI involvement will incentivize authors to conceal it. A journal that rewards AI-free work will create pressure toward theater rather than honesty.
eaiou takes the position that the field needs a clean record more than it needs a gate. Intelligence Blindness is how the record stays clean: disclosure is required, always visible, and never punished.
The work is the argument. Everything else is provenance.
